It is very inspiring to see more and more artists take initiatives addressing their concerns to underprivileged groups. Not to mention, many patrons in the art world are philanthropic and are willing to give. Indeed, art has become the new fund-raising panacea in the recent years. Keep on reading to see how these artists contribute to this Charity Art Auction — “Art For All”.
In this charity art auction, more than 20 artists are donating their paintings in order to raise funds for children and adults with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
What is SMA?
Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) is a genetic disease that progressively weakens the muscles of babies and small children. Consequently. It can lead to problems with walking, swallowing and breathing. There is currently no cure for SMA, and is the most common genetic cause of mortality in infants. But even so, SMA does not affect intelligence. Children and adults with SMA often go on to do very well academically.
5 Artists from Artroom 22 are Joining The Cause!
There are young and senior artists joining hands to donate their valuable paintings to this charity art auction. We are happy to see that 5 of our inspiring artists are participating in this good cause too.

Furthermore, the artist Cyan Low said he tried to donate very carefully and selectively. He made sure that his gift related to the context. Hence, he chose “Ali, Muthu and Ah Gao” and “Joy of The Journey” as two of his paintings for this charity art auction. Symbolising the fact that this disease happens not only to children, but also to adults.

Besides that, Yeo Eng Peng, who is a widely renowned and respected artist in Malaysia is donating his painting to this charity art auction too. Come and impress yourself by the realism he vividly portrays in his paintings. It is not easy to find many artists who still holds strong to the concepts and practice of watercolour medium and Yeo is one of them. No matter what level and how senior he is in this art field, he still works on the foundation. Indeed, this is the key to his success.

Charity Art Auction — A Stage for Young Artists
Indeed, for younger or less established artists, charity art auction could be an opportunity to put their work before a collecting audience. As a contributing artist, not only you get to have a potential contact, but also able to network with other artists at the event. After all, a good time with a good cause is all that we ask for, isn’t it?
